Privacy policy
This policy is a draft. It will be reviewed by legal counsel before Cadenforge opens to the public.
Data controller
CadenForge Europe, SASU, Halle de l'Innovation, 10 place Françoise Héritier, ZAC Cambacérès, 34000 Montpellier, France. Contact: contact@cadenforge.com.
The contact form on this website has its own privacy notice.
What we collect
- Your account: name, email address, sign-in details, your organization and its members.
- Your projects: what you describe, your answers and decisions, the files you upload, and the code and documents produced for you.
- Activity records needed to run and secure the service.
- Billing details when you order a project.
Keys and access tokens you entrust to us are encrypted at rest.
Why we use it
- To provide the service you asked for and develop your project (performance of the contract).
- To invoice and keep accounting records (legal obligation).
- To answer your support requests, keep the service secure and detect abuse (our legitimate interest).
- To count visits to the website and the application with Umami, which we run on our own server, without cookies and without storing your network address (our legitimate interest). The cookie policy details what it records.
AI processing
Your project is developed by AI agents. To do that work, the content of your project is sent to AI model providers, which process it to produce answers, code and documents. Some of these providers are based outside the European Union. Their list is available on request.
Who handles your data
Each organization's data is kept separate from every other organization's in our database. Access is limited to authorised CadenForge staff.
We rely on technical providers: Scaleway (France and the Netherlands) for project data and backups, OVH (France) for the website and the client application, an OVH server in the United Kingdom that receives visitors' connections, Microsoft for sending emails, and the AI model providers mentioned above. We do not sell your data.
If a business referrer introduced you to CadenForge, through their link or their code entered at sign-up, they receive your organization's name, your purchases and their amounts excluding tax, to compute and check their commission. Their contract binds them to keep these confidential.
How long we keep it
Your account and project data are kept while your account is open. When you close your account, the deletion stays reversible for 30 days; after that, your data is permanently erased. Backups follow their own rotation cycle, and erased data is not brought back when a backup is restored.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or erase your data, to restrict its use, to receive it in a portable format, and you can object to uses based on our legitimate interest. Write to contact@cadenforge.com. You can also complain to the French data protection authority, the CNIL.
