Cookie policy
This policy is a draft. It will be reviewed by legal counsel before Cadenforge opens to the public.
This website, cadenforge.com
This website sets no cookies. It has no advertising and loads nothing from third parties.
The client application, cadenforge.app
The application uses only the cookies it needs to keep you signed in:
cadenforge_access- Proves that you are signed in. Expires after 7 days at most.
cadenforge_refresh- Renews your sign-in without asking for your password again. Sent only to the sign-in service, expires after 30 days at most.
Neither can be read by the page's scripts. Signing out deletes both.
The application also keeps your language (cadenforge-lang) and your display preference (cadenforge-appearance-v1) in your browser's local storage.
The website editor used by CadenForge staff sets cadenforge_website_csrf, which protects its forms against forged requests.
Audience measurement
We count visits to cadenforge.com and cadenforge.app with Umami, an open-source tool we run on our own server in France. Its script is served from the page's own address, under /pulse/. It sets no cookie and stores nothing in your browser.
For each page viewed it records the address of the page, the site you came from, your browser, operating system, type of device, screen size and language, and the country, region and city deduced from your network address. Your network address itself is not stored, and nothing that follows a ? or a # in an address is recorded. Visits are grouped under an identifier computed on our server and renewed every month. These figures are used only to understand how the website and the application are used, and are not shared with anyone.
Consent
These cookies and stored preferences are strictly necessary for what you ask the service to do, and the audience measurement is limited to anonymous statistics, so none of them requires your consent. If we ever add a cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent before setting it.
